Pasta al Tonno Ingredients:

8 cloves of garlic, chopped

1.5 ounces chopped capers

2 cans of imported Italian tuna, packed in olive oil

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

1 28 ounce can of San Marzano tomatoes, chopped or put through the blender

Pasta al Tonno Directions:

Pour olive oil into a large frying pan. Place the chopped garlic and sauté for 2 minutes. Add the chopped capers, sauté for 2 more minutes. Add the tuna and sauté for 4 more minutes. Add the San Marzano tomato puree and 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper. Stir until well mixed. Allow to simmer for 10 minutes. Serve over the pasta of your choice (Lisa recommends cavatappi, penne rigate, or eliche).
